About

Our Volunteer Firefighters are the Backbone of Community Safety

At Hood County Station 70 Volunteer Fire Department, service to others is at the heart of everything we do. Firefighting is an international brotherhood of both career and volunteer members who dedicate their lives to protecting life and property, often at great personal risk. Our Station 70 firefighters proudly uphold that tradition, placing themselves in harm’s way and rushing to the aid of complete strangers whenever the call comes.

Who We Are

Station 70 is staffed entirely by a team of highly dedicated volunteers who answer a wide range of emergency calls across the Station 70 district and northern Hood County. Though small in number, our department is strong in commitment, with every member contributing their time, skills, and heart to the mission of keeping our community safe.

What We Do

Our members respond day and night to:
  • Fire Suppression – From structure and grass fires to vehicle incidents, our firefighters are trained and ready to act quickly.
  • Medical Emergencies – Providing life-saving aid until advanced medical services arrive.
  • Public Safety & Education – Offering fire prevention education, safety resources, and community outreach to help protect residents before emergencies occur.
  • Community Support – Carrying out the daily responsibilities and general tasks that keep a volunteer department running strong.
Equipped with multiple firefighting apparatus and supported by volunteers who respond directly from their homes, Station 70 ensures that critical help is never far away.

Our Commitment

While we may be small in size, we are mighty in dedication. Each member of Station 70 embodies the values of service, courage, and community, working together to make northern Hood County a safer place to live, work, and raise a family.
